Your Review:: An outstanding sauce. Quite hot for non-chile-heads. People who eat six Scoville digits per serving won't be daunted by its heat, but will appreciate its excellent taste even more (because they won't be gasping for air). So whether it's for the heat or the taste, everyone who appreciates spicy food should try Cholula! Get some for your older kids, or that recalcitrant girlfriend or boyfriend.

Your Review:: An excellent everyday, general purpose hot sauce. Not too hot, but just right. Doesn't over-powering more subtle dishes. Perfect on Mexican, eggs, hash browns, french fries, even on corn chips straight up. Throw out the catsup and make this your staple! The distinctive wood cap adds a nice touch. A nice, mild Mexican sauce the whole family can enjoy, even baby. With an appetizing deep orange color and savvy flavor this all-purpose sauce livens up salads to shoe leather. Net-net it's like adding salt and pepper. Other sauces I would compare it to are Datil Do It Devil Drops and Sontava. Nice label and bottle, might work well with heat additive if flavor holds up. Good to prepare baby for his first Jalapeno. - Danno

Definitely one of my favorites. It doens't bring a whole lot of heat to the table, but what it lacks in temperature it makes up for in flavor. I've yet to find something it's not good on. Cholula is essential for every fireheads collection, even though you could probably use it to stop the burning from the hotter sauces. - Dan

This is the perfect blend of spicy and tasty. This has a far better flavor than any cayenne sauce. I put it on everything from burgers to eggs, and even on baked potatoes. A sweet marinara flavored start, a mildish habenero peak, and a flinty / safrony finish. Great with Italian foods and on pizza. Can be used in place of tomato juice in a Bloody Hot Mary, but be sure to use oyster or clam juice to round it out. - MikeyMcD

How I do adore Cholula.. it was one of my first starter hotsauces and remains a steadfast standby for putting a good few drops into my morning orange juice and excellent for putting on my friday night movie rental popcorn. It's got an awesome flavor and when taken straight from the bottle to my mouth, has the zing of a nice chipotle. Wonderful product in my opinion. This, Da'Bomb, Crazy Jerry's Mustard Gas, and Pain is Good: Garlic Nirvana are the standard issue sauces in my home.. and of them all, Cholula and Pain is good are the most used. - Scrooluse

Cholula has been around Texas for years. Although not on the hotter end of the scale, what it lacks in heat it makes up for with flavor. It is simply one of the most flavorful sauces on the market (along with Jardin's Texas Champagne). The secret to Cholula's unique flavor is their use of chili pequin peppers which taste different than any other pepper. I buy Cholula by the gallon and use it on everything including a glass, ice, 2oz vodka, 5 or 6 raw oysters and fill with Cholula. That's the Cholula Straightnochaser Bloody Mary! - Straightnochaser

My mother picked up this bottle for me in Mass,Conn. and "HOLY GOD"! Its not very hot but the traditional fried chicken hot sauce just got replaced. My Indian friend and I have already gone in on a case of this, since we both like a standard flavor to go with anything at lunch, I.E. Steak,eggs,Taco Bell..I know,Even fish can be brought to life when mixed with a good catfish seasoning. Though the heat is for beginners, Of the very inexpensive and decorative bottles,I am A fan for life...Except for Dave's..his is it for me. I have been a hot sauce lover for years but found most either too hot and with a harsh "bite", or too mild and boring. While traveling in Texas I tried Cholula, WOW, I was immediately addicted. This stuff is what every hot sauce should be! It has the best flavor and a luscious heat that doesn't offend the taste buds. I bought 8 bottles at a Texas grocery store, knowing I would never find this great stuff in Ohio. I eat it everyday on something..eggs, steak, mexican food, casseroles. It goes great with anything.
