Your Review:: Nectar of the GODS!!! While I don't consider it hot, the flavor it adds to pizza, chicken, burgers, etc., is fantastic. MUCH better than the chipotle sauce offered by Tabasco, et al. It's hands down my favorite sauce to add to pizza. The only problem I have is that the local grocery stores quit carrying it... :-( Even the local Mexican grocery stores popping up all over the place here due to our large immigrant labor population don't carry it... What's up with that???? - Spike

Your Review:: the standard. if you want pure chipotle flavor in a sauce without much else to distract from it, this is the one. the label says VERY HOT, which is confusing since it's not hot at all. maybe they're just covering all bases in case some tender-tongued gringo thinks it's too hot! - kristine

This a good sauce but El Yucateco make an even better Chipotle sauce. Just a little more heat. I'm surprised it is not offered here. - Darryl Baysinger

Several years ago I discovered this sauce on the the shelves of a couple stores in the Central Ohio area. After my first taste I went back to the store and emptied the shelf, (6 or 7) bottles. Well as what happens with so many wonderful products it seems like every grocer in town discontinued it. IDIOTS! Finding myself half way thru my last bottle I began to panic a little. Fortuneatly I found the FireGirl web-site and I can cool my culinary heels. I am a major chile-head and have 14 or more bottles of sauces on my counter right now most of them in the XXX range. Although the Bufalo Chipotle is really very mild to me it is something I can use on family meals without too much complaining. It has a subtle but insistent smokiness about it. It is very earthy and natural with out the usual vinegar under or overtones normally associated with hot peppers. My favorite thing to do with this sauce is to make a chipotle butter sauce out of it and use it as a BBQ basting sauce for beef, pork, many kinds of fish and of course chicken. If you have never tried this terrifc sauce I highly recommend giving it a try. I beleive you will not be disappointed. Doug - Doug Eisele

Not that impressed. Smelled like buffalo wings hotsauce, which I suppose from the name it should. Tasted like buffalo wings sauce with tabasco for heat. Not that impressed. But on the good side, I ordered several other things and they were great. - Ken

I would not put this sauce on anything other than Mexican cuisine; it's salty smokiness tends to distract from other kinds of food. But, I have found no better accompaniment to Mexican food...if you are eating Mexican, eat Bufalo Chipotle. - MB

Nice smokey, slightly sweet flavor. Not an all purpose sauce, but a good match for chicken and beef. Nice additive for catsup or bbq sauce. Medium hot at best, but tasty. - RS

Bufalo Chipotle Sauce goes into anything with beef in it (like stews, gravies or chili) up to and including slathering it on your steak or roast beef instead of that A-1 dreck.

Mix a half bottle with a couple tablespoons of butter and heat 'til butter melts (it's quick in the microwave and entertaining as hell when it explodes). Skewer beef chunks, shrimp and mushrooms and baste lightly with the mix while they grill.

Or quick sautee a pound of mushrooms in butter and add a teaspoon (you don't need a lot for this one) of BCS just before they are done.

Don't do any of this while your kid is around or he'll grow up and move to Boston and swipe your whole stash of BCS when he moves and you'll have to buy more. - JB
