Matouk's West Indies Hot Sauce: Two things you should note about this sauce:1) I think it's hotter than its rating. For me, it's bordering on a spice/ingredient rather than a condiment. 2) The label has two descriptions on it. For Americans, it says "Hot Sauce." For islanders, it says "Salsa Picante." Ignore the "hot sauce" part. I think this product falls under the category of "pepper relish," and, as such, would be good on hamburgers & hot dogs, and mixed in salsas or sloppy joes. Although this sauce is HOT, it's made with scotch bonnet peppers, so it doesn't give that warm, burning sensation that leaves your mouth numb. Instead, it has a very bright and lively taste to it. - Karl Taste Opinion: Disappointing; Heat Opinion: Hot

I first tasted Matouk's West Indian Flambeau in St Martin and fell in love with it. Twelve bottles accompanied me home to the USA. OOOhhh it's soooo hot...but delicious!!!! - Sammy Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: Hot
A great sauce that combines hot and sweet. Great for putting on sandwiches. - Tony Rogers Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: Medium
This is my favourite hot sauce, bar none. Unlike so many others, this one isn't swimming in vinegar, and it adds more than just heat; it contributes flavour.I personally find it too hot to put on something directly, but it's great when mixed in with a stew. - Timothy Campbell Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: Hot
